The great world religions -- Islam, Christianity, Judaism originated from Middle Eastern countries where the Prophets and Saviours were born. Ironically, this region has conflicts which continue to the present day since tribal rivalries and religious differences are used for reasons of vengeance and power struggles from ancestors to those who are living. Although religious leaders such as Mohammed, Jesus Christ, Abraham, Moses, Isaac, Ishmael, King David, etc. are probably of the same race and region, their teachings have some similarities and differences. Followers subsequently created ceremonies and rituals to emphasize differences although they share common ancestors such as Abraham and Moses. It is unfortunate that misunderstandings continue due to the emphasis on differences rather than the similarities which can bring peace. God spoke to the leaders and inspired them to lead and teach the peoples but human nature sometimes is more competitive than cooperative for power, money, love, territory, resources that wars persist. Sons inherit their fathers enemies and friends and so vengeance can be generational and tribal based. It is not surprising that to this day the Middle Eastern countries continue to fight, sometimes exacerbated by European influences where Christianity spread, because tribes want to have power and will fight over control of their countries. It even extends to North America in the USA and Canada where those who left Middle East migrated and are sometimes caught in between sides of the conflicts. Rallies are staged in Canada to argue about wars happening in the Middle East because their relatives are affected and by their religious and political affiliations. For outsiders or those who wish to remain neutral and mediatory, it would be best to listen and learn from all sides without siding, and to have an attitude of peace and negotiation, not war and win/lose; a win/win situation is better so that all sides feel validated and valued and neither winner nor loser. The best solution to end all these conflicts is to change attitude where peace and survival matter more than war and vengeance. We are all God's peoples whatever religion and spirituality so we should remember that when negotiating and mediating for peace and cooperation. We are one human race living on one planet Earth.
