Don't you think it would be fascinating to see the home of the people you meet on the street? I mean to see how complete strangers live? I am a very curious person and I think this interest is in everyone. And I am not saying because I have a stalker streak but because yesterday I was object of this curiousity myself.
The owner of the house is selling the property so he brought an inspector and the couple who wants to buy it to check it out. When they arrived I found it quite odd that these people really seemed so much more fascinated by my stuff and decoration than by the house itself. They contemplated every ornament and every little painting I had done. They went straight to the balcony and check out my hammock as soon as they stepped into the apartment, which I found frankly odd, except that the door that gives to the balcony looks rather misterious with a lot of greenery from the trees underneath.
They spent the most time in my bedroom too. The guy seemed fascinated with the plant over the window by my bed.
It was very funny to be honest. I don't mind curiosity at all being myself something of a child in asking impertinent questions.
Funny enough everybody agreed that my apartment was much bigger than the one underneath, which was very puzzling as they are both the same size as they are like any other building two squares of the same dimension one atop the other.
I have to say that if I was to buy a house I would check first of all very carefully the plumbing, you know getting under the sink, making the water flow in the tub and the toilet as that is usually the problem with old houses, together with checking out electricty and central heating. These guys are beginners, didn't even come close to check any of that. Probably buying a new house is the best bet for new buyers. However, personally I find thst old houses have personality. To each their own.
